A 'Maker' Manifesto for 3D Printing

I know it sounds a bit pretentious to talk about 'a manifesto'.  I am not even really qualified to put myself forward for such a task.  I am not even a 'maker' in a real sense.  I am just a blooger who loves everything to do with 3D printing and production.  I truly believe that this will change our lives as the industrial revolution changed the life of 19th century folk.

Let us look at what 3D printing can do and be amazed.  It can create art, it can create cakes, it can create human organs it can build a prothesis.  It can. in short, turn a maker into a God.

so surely this should be a GOD manifesto for mere mortals?  If we can raise ourselves up so high then certainly we should abide by some code of practice or a set of ethics suited to this grand enterprise.

I will also be blogging about products rather than philosophy over at www.3Dprintingproductnews.com  and also on youtube.    This whole manifesto is going to take a bit of thought so i won't rush, i will come back at a quitter moment when I can write with clarity.
